Milltown Commons Skatepark

Milton Skate Park opened on May 8th, 2004. After watching it being built for 8 months I finally got to skate it. What a park! and I would be able to ride it a lot!!! It is only 8 miles from my place.

Milton was the 1st over vert in WA. Above we see WA legend Rob Skala air out of the over vert on that first day. It was an awesome day. Here is a slideshow of the first day.

Did I mention that Milton has a Door? This is the innovation that Grindline came up with for this park. It is the first park to have a door. For me this is a life-saver. I don't have to pull my old back and bones up and out of a six foot pit. I think that every park where the shallow end is deeper than 5 feet should have an escape route like a door or stairs. Thanks Grindline!

Here are a couple of Pictures not from the first day. The first is looking from the deep end toward the doorway, the second is from the oververt looking toward the doorway. (There were several occasions to observe pros skating our park. That is Benji Galloway re-entering in that last pic.)
